AI launches are starting to blur together. GPT-5.2 arrives with polished claims and top benchmark scores, and the reaction is mostly a shrug. Not because it’s bad, but because it feels familiar. The cycle is too fast.
A few years ago, a new model drop felt like an event. You’d test it, push it in odd directions, and walk away thinking, “Okay, this changes things.” Now it’s more like reading patch notes.
But the tradeoff is real:
